In my pursuit of Real Truth, I have given up everything. Crawling through the “eye of the needle,” I have learned the *mysteries* and am now giving my life to assist YOU to dis-cover Who *YOU* really are, along with your unique gift to offer humanity. As you learn to seek (in the right place and with purified intent), you WILL find treasures of lasting value, along with every promised reward. Together, we will establish a society of humane beings and live life ALIVE, on PURPOSE, and with a sociality unequaled… because we will each BE and view each other as equally and profoundly DIVINE! Please… catch this Hope and Vision and join with me.
I was asked today to discuss more about TRUST, and, in particular, how I have maintained my trust to my Truest Self all of my life.
Within yesterday’s post, I shared how a newborn baby comes into this mortal world filled with eyes of trust, yet through exposure to others who are dis-connected, she gradually (or sometimes quickly and decisively) learns not to trust her inner guidance… or anyone. Yet, she must do what she can to survive so she learns how to play the mortal game by giving those who have access to what she needs what they demand.
I shared scriptures which implore mankind to not trust in their riches, their own mortal (dis-engaged) heart, or anything else temporal and thus temporary and liable to offer unsafe guidance. I reminded the reader how dis-engaged (from their Ventral Vagus “Love” nerve) humans are “devils,” and that scripture emphatically warns against trusting in the “arm of flesh,” or rather, other “devils”… even (and especially) one’s own “devil” (dis-connected) self.
In yesterday’s post (Part 9 of “The Two Trees…”) I shared how mankind’s problem was a lack of trust. Yet, I had just included the above discussion of how we are NOT to trust… at least anything mortal or respected by mortals.
I have taught that fear arises when one’s conscious (or subconscious) mind detects an unsafe environment. Fear knocks one into either an IM-mobilization (dorsal) response or a mobilization (sympathetic) response. Either way, fear takes one from their empowered and intelligent state of connection through the ventral vagus nerve.
One of my favorite quotes of Joseph Smith Jr. states: “Fear, worry, and doubt can not exist at the same time in the same mind as confidence and faith. They must be exchanged one for the other.”
And yet, within scripture there are many times when individuals are encouraged to FEAR God.
For instance: The Israelites were exhorted to “serve the Lord with fear” (Psalm 2:11). Those who fear God are blessed (Psalm 112:1 ); they enjoy God’s goodness (Psalm 34:9 ) and God’s provision (Psalm 111:5 ). Paul admonished believers to work out their salvation “with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12 ). The early church grew in number as they lived “in the fear of the Lord” (Acts 9:31 ). The New Testament church stands in awe and fear in the presence of a holy God, for fear is “the whole duty of man” (Ecclesiastes 12:13 ). Fear of God was a requirement demanded from every judge (Exodus 18:21 ). The kings of Israel should rule in the fear of the Lord (2 Samuel 23:3 ); even the messianic King would live in the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2 ). To fear God was the beginning of wisdom and thus of the pathway to true life (Proverbs 1:7 ; Proverbs 9:10 ; Proverbs 15:33 ).
How does one make sense through all of this?
To fear God, correctly, is to see God in everyone… all of us together, and to realize that each of us are as a fractured sliver of a mirror, with the entire mirror representing the pure and original and holy state of ALL of us put back together. As the complete mirror, it is entire, whole, and intelligent, containing all the wisdom of each of the shards.
Or, another analogy I like, is seeing all of us together as a sun, with the individual rays representing umbilical cords to a little dot at each end of each ray representing each of us as mortals.
Can you see that we are each “a part of the body of Christ” where Christ is a SUN of God? Can you also see that when Joseph saw “a pillar of light directly over (my) head” he was realizing his connection to the divine, his portal of protection and assistance?
To fear God, correctly, is to zealously oversee our ventral vagus connection so that we can receive guidance moment-by-moment to ensure that we are walking in the LIGHT, and appropriately acting for the good of all of us, the sun. To fear God is to love our self and each other equally, realizing that we ARE equal participants and, in fact, are one divine Sol. (Sol is Spanish for sun.) The body and spirit inseparably fused together through JOY/ L.O.V.E. (the celestial super-glue) becomes a miniature version of the Great Sun of each of us… an immortal and eternal Soul.
To fear God, then, is to maintain reverential awe and utilize strict and GRATEFUL obedience to the direction we receive (“the still, small voice”) from within. Though I have maintained my connection throughout my life, I have not always maintained my “fear” or “reverential awe” and strict and GRATEFUL obedience” to its voice. Yet, others, through early experiences have dis-connected more completely, and instead, have learned to give heed and devotion to (trust in) them self and other fallen mortals. Yet, as is the purpose of my posts, as one determines to heal and regain their initial innocence (returning again to “becoming as a little child”), she re-learns this connection, and regains this appropriate TRUST.
From this perspective, the following scriptures now make sense. Equating the heart (as accessed through one’s VV) is the place of connection which allows one to have appropriate trust: Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 23:26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways,
Again, when one is knocked from one’s VV (Love Nerve) connection it is because of Fear to some degree or another. Remember from yesterday’s post: Fear releases cortisol, and when cortisol is flooding our system our thinking is clouded but we don’t know it’s clouded because our thinking is clouded.
When one is free of fear, there is no more guessing necessary. One is lead from within (by “the still, small voice” of conscience) and each of one’s choices are experiments in gaining wisdom. Trust is realizing that every experience is good and allowed for my eternal benefit. Trusting “God,” or the pure directive influence within one’s engaged heart, puts one in a receiving mode. Without fear, and while fully engaged in Trust “in the Lord” (the overseeing direction offered when one is operating from the VV), each day seems like a Christmas Eve, with every encounter a precious and intriguing gift. When one operates from this degree of Trust in Life, they are operating with the quality “Jesus” spoke of in Matthew 5: 12, they “rejoice with exceeding gladness”… no matter what the experience. This trust, no matter how far one might have de-railed, leads one incrementally back to their “first breath” and their original innocent awareness.
As one lives from this degree of confidence in their inner guidance counselor, smiling is easy. Indeed, sincere smiles are only possible when one is engaged from the “Love Nerve.” It is the ventral vagus which feeds the inner ear (so one can hear that “still small voice” while weeding out the background noises), that softens the eyes and allows for correct vision and the inner understanding associated with it. The ventral vagus connects with the facial muscles of the mouth and cheeks, allowing for minute and fine changes in expression. It is these facial expressions that we pick up from each other through our mirror neurons which allow us to feel and interpret correctly just what another is feeling… but only for those so engaged through their vagus nerve.
Trust in one’s pure inner guidance is often called intuition. Intuition literally means to look at and consider from within… without logical analysis. Intuition is not filtered by or affected by thoughts. Intuition feels neither positive or negative. It can be described as a “ZINGGG!” sensation that “whooshes through one’s being,” causing it to feel “all lit up,” but without a particular “GOOD” or “BAD” sensation. Intuition is assessible when the Love Nerve is one’s Bishop.
However… when the “dorsal vagus” is the Bishop, then one might perceive a feeling and misconstrue it as intuition or guidance from within. Correctly called a “gut feeling,” it is sensed within the intestinal/ heart area. “Gut feelings,” are based on judgment and fear. When our environment offers us energy via our five senses and we act upon that energy with a filter of judgment, then we may receive a feeling in our “gut” of butterflies (“Oh, what if I mess up this solo and then look like a fool! Everyone’s smirking at me! Horrors!”). Trapped and unprocessed emotion prevents one from operating completely and purely from a Trust in God via the VV. The more blocked and trapped one’s emotions, the less (real) intelligence one is able to access. Additionally, the more “on one’s mind” (worry, doubt, fear), the less capable one is of accessing that all-important Love Nerve.
Our “sympathetic branch” can also produce feelings that can seem to mimic “intuition.” (“Oh, she’s so hot, and treats me kindly. I’m very attracted to her, I want to touch her…. My ‘Holy Ghost’ is telling me to marry her and make her my possession.”) This type of feeling may make one get all hot and clammy and seem to be that inner guidance to action. Yet, it is not. It is the lusts of the flesh caused by a lack of connection and weak Self L.O.V.E.
Here is the *KEY* to understanding your feelings:
If it affects your overall personal happiness in any way, then you have personally contrived it, and it is not reliable. It has been influenced by your fears and judgments.
Remember, JOY, which derives from the Love Nerve, is emotional balance. Im-balance in either direction indicates one’s feelings CAN NOT be trusted; one is operating NOT from their “still small voice” of conscience, but from “Lucifer.”
Again: “Fear, worry, and doubt can not exist at the same time in the same mind as confidence and faith.” Neither can you receive clear and reliable inner direction as long as you maintain judgment towards how someone “should” act or what a situation “should” be like.
However, IF you receive a “gut feeling” about something and step back and evaluate that feeling by gathering information, applying reason and consideration to see if it really makes sense…. IF you can do this and get out of your own way while you do, owning that you would rather see the Real, Actual, Eternal accuracy of your feeling than “be right”… if you then relinquish any and all prejudice or bias that is contorting the reality of the situation… THEN a “gut feeling” can lead you to an accurate understanding and right action.
When “Jesus” said, “Take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy and my burden is Light,” he did not mean that everything would then go the way your mortal self would want. For instance, in August of 2003, while attempting to amicably proceed through my divorce, I received a vision where my husband was being fed with myriad “umbilical cords,” each connected to an organization or a particular person to whom he received guidance and “power.” I was told that I must submit to his desires in order to spare my children greater harm. In the ensuing 18 plus years, this has necessitated a rocky path; far from easy for my mortal self; “Kimberly.” Yet, I continue to trust in my inner guidance and know with a surety (from the promises I have been given and all of the other times that my inner voice has been proved as having my long-term best interest, in fact, all of our long-term best interest, in Mind) that everything will eventually be correctly resolved and understanding and JOY for all will reign.
I have come to see mortal life as a type of Galactic Chess Match. I am a pawn, being played by my particular umbilical cord (pillar of light) extending from Source. Those not yet relying upon their inner director are my opponents. Sometimes a temporary move in one direction assists some other piece on the chess board to get into a better position for the greater good. I willingly acquiesce for the good of all of us, knowing that we will each be “winners” in the end.
Again, thinking (the ability to reason), in contrast to “pattern recognition” occurs only when the Love (ventral vagus) Nerve is engaged. As I remain connected, the ability to clearly think and make the long-term best choices in each situation is strengthened.
And, although there’s so much more I can share about my personal life in regards to “trusting in the Lord with all thine heart and leaning not to thine own understanding,” that’s all I feel to write today.
As with each post, I sincerely and deeply hope that what I have written will benefit the reader and that Light and Goodness and JOY will flourish until we are each aligned and filled with Happiness and social engagement.
